Curriculum

Daybreak Nurseries are proud of our staff’s knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to effectively support children to reach their full potential whilst in our care. Full information on how Daybreak implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is available in the nurseries. This is mandatory for all Early Years settings. This helps our team focus on your child, your child’s needs, the things that your child enjoys doing and how to ensure the time at nursery is happy and productive.

The aim is to help young children achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes of staying safe, being healthy, enjoying and achieving, making a positive contribution, and achieving economic well-being.

Details of each day's  planned activities are displayed in the nursery.  You will receive daily feedback as to how your child’s time has been spent. All milestones are monitored, observed and recorded in partnership with parents.

Our 3-5 year olds continue to enjoy a diverse programme of stimulating play activities that develop further your child’s sensory, emotional, physical and social skills.

For more information on Early Years Foundation Stage visit the government website.

Your child’s daily experiences do not follow a strict routine.  During a typical nursery week we may we take local picturesque walks, visit the Fire Brigade, walk to the shops,  host professional visits from the Police, run Spanish lessons and music classes
